Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between extrinsic-intrinsic religious orientation, depression and socially desirable responding, as well as sex differences on used scales. The study was conducted on 98 participants, both sexes, Catholics. Results showed there were no significant sex differences on any of used scales in this study. However, it has been noticed that sex differences on intrinsic scale and BDI-2 follow expected direction: women score higher than men. Correlations between all tested variables also didn’t proved to be significant. Given results are not in accordance with expectations; they can be explained with methodological characteristics of this study, especially with sample characteristics, small number of participants and limitations of used scales.
