The graduation thesis discusses the verbotonal method of Petar Guberina and technical characteristics of individual Verboton devices used in rehabilitation and based on the verbotonal system. The work wants to show how Verboton devices (formerly named SUVAG) were one of the cornerstones of the verbotonal system since they were used for diagnostic procedures (functional searches of hearing impairment such as determining the optimal hearing fields, selection of hearing aids, etc.) and rehabilitation. From the technical aspects devices mentioned are Verboton G10m, G20 and G30L. Devices Verboton G10m and G20 are presented from a technical point of view as a tool to be used in pathological cases. The device Verboton G30L, as a successor device to SUVAG Lingua, is described in more detail through its specific purpose applications not only in cases of pathology, but also in learning a foreign language. Optimal frequency bands for the Croatian language are presented and described in this paper, as well as explained in detail which device settings of Verboton G30L should be adjusted in order to receive correctly the optimal frequency bands. The device is described showing control plates, the frequency characteristics of filters and alphabetical listing of the optimal frequency bands, as well as the device settings for obtaining the optimal frequency bands. This paper also describes the diagnostic procedures and treatments. The described diagnostic procedures are acumetry, tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, evoked auditory potentials and otoacoustic emissions. The verbotonal method is described in terms of: optimal auditory field, spoken language values and optimal frequency bands.
