Abstract

The discussion of two historians about the authenticity of King Kresimir's document that it could be one of the most important Croatian imperial documents. Historians Jakov Stipisic and Stjepan Antoljak in three articles pointed out the analysis and their opinions on the issue of credibility of the document. Jakov Stipisic found out that the document is a forgery, while on the other hand Stjepan Antoljak tried to prove the opposite, in other words to establish the authenticity using different methods, sometimes even questionable ones. The conclusion of this study based on the analysis, historical context and the articles of two authors is that the document is a forgery.
