Abstract
This thesis presents the inventories of archival fonds of Zagreb Drama Theatre and cinemas „Narodni dom” from Samobor and „Udarnik” from Velika Gorica. The creators of the fonds were among the cultural institutions founded in the period marked by numerous changes in state and social structure, and their records, despite being fragmentary, are a useful
source for various studies. Inventories are the result of archival arrangement and description of records conducted in accordance with the principles of provenance and the original order and also in accordance with guidelines given in ISAD (G) – General International Standard Archival Description manual. They provide information about the history and activities of the creator as well of the content and structure of fonds, thus enabling easier recognition, understanding and use of archival materials.
