Abstract

The subject matter of this doctoral thesis is ethnographic and anthropological research of the way of life of the inhabitants of the Middle Dalmatian island of Šolta during the 20th and at the beginning of the 21st centuries. The aim of this research and interpretation of gathered material, which is structured as a case study, is to facilitate the understanding of island issues in general.
