Abstract

The paper presents a systematic review of recent studies on AV materials, from digital archives, classification of AV formats, to the importance of the existence of AV materials. Field research provides insight into the systematic presentation of an AV material, i.e., this paper provides an overview of previously published information about the topic. The methodology of work includes: search of existing data sources, analysis of data on AV material, synthesis of data on AV material and verification of conclusion. The whole work will ultimately confirm the working hypothesis which states: AV material is of indisputable importance in the preservation of written, scientific and cultural heritage of people in the digital age.
