Abstract

This work was created with the motive to study how we use our interaction time within networked society, and identify what are ours capabilities and limitations. Within the time that is a multi-dimensional phenomenon and difficult to define, interaction time is intersubjective reality of two or more people in interaction. Interaction time has its own rules and within it we define and redefine our relationships with others. Networked society as the dominant form of organization today is based on the exceptional progress of information and communication technologies. This paper presents the most important communication tools used in the interaction time. In addition to face-to-face communication today, due to technology advances, there are numerous opportunities for interaction. Cell phones have been the first to provide global connectivity and are now the most widely used communication device. They are constantly developing so that they minimize their dimensions and maximize connectivity and integration with internet. Internet, after the rapid development of computer technology, developed in amazing pace so that now offers a variety of interactive features and tools. The most important among them are e-mail, blogs, and services for communication and social networks that have recently gained extreme popularity. They make interactive time more dynamic, interaction easier, and offer a variety in communication possibilities and access to others at any time. They personalize interactive time greatly because now people can interact with others by adapting interaction to their own preferences and needs. Multitask and multiinteraction are frequent phenomena in the networked society while we try to maneuver with more media and interaction within our network of contacts simultaneously. Interaction time today offers variety of media and forms of interaction that provide us the openness and flexibility in a wide range of forms of interaction for meeting the needs of each individual. Interaction time transforms and creates new practices that individuals must be able to use to make their interaction successful and quality.
