Abstract

The term of ideology appears 1796th in France as the science of ideas. Through the history, a different ideologies appeared, whose purpose was one type of ideology present as a dominant, universal and useful, while critical and distorted representation of other ideological concepts and opportunities in society. In the mid 20th century, many theorists argue the thesis about the end of ideology, and conclude that the old ideology lost its authenticity and credibility, and that the ideological era is over. The main events that considered the turning point in time of ideologies, were collapse of communism and the end of the Cold War. However, a number of events after 1991. testified that the era of ideology is not ended by no means. In contemporary, postmodern time there are many new ideologies or ideologies formed on the basis of old, that had occupied a significant place in society. Unlike the political ideologies of Cold War period, the postmodern ideologies are not so much for the purpose of acquisition and disturbution of wealth, as far as trying to improve quality of life.
