Speed and accuracy of word transliteration printed in three forms of Glagolitic script.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate whether there are differences in the legibility of material written with different types of Glagolitic script. The complexity of the words varied in the number of letters (three or four letters) and also the exposure time of words presented to research participants (700 ms or 5000 ms). The task was to answer whether the transliteration is true or false. The dependent variables were recorded as response accuracy and reaction time to the correct answers. The study included 29 participants who were on pre-testing showed excellent knowledge of all three types of the Glagolitic alphabet. Results of the analysis of reaction time showed that on average the participants have a faster reaction time for the three-letter word. Analysis of the accuracy of responses showed that participants make more mistakes for longer words and short exposure stimuli. Post-hoc tests showed statistically significant differences in the number of correct answers only between triangular and rounded Glagolitic script. On average, a larger number of errors are made with the words written in triangular Glagolitic script, which is consistent with the results of previous research.
