Abstract

This paper presents the main guidelines of the fourth module of Health education curiculum, also called the Sex/gender equality and responsible sexual behavior. Besides the different teaching evaluations which suggest appropriateness and necessity of such program, the main criticism of the fourth module is also shown with the aim of insight into the arguments of those who oppose the implementation of this Health education program in Croatian schools. The role of media is determined as an important factor in the process of introducing this program into schools, because of their detailed reports on this subject. Analyzing the content of the most popular Croatian News websites, seeking to examine their objectivity in reporting about the Health education program, some partiality and ideological division of media content has been detected. This contributes to the increase of conflict between counter sides and possibly the division of public opinion on the subject.
