Abstract

Thesis Open access institutional repositories: comparative analysis of Croatian and Ukrainian repositories is based on individual and comparative analysis of the four selected institutional repositories – Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb, Repository of Kharkov National Medical University and Borys Grinchenko Kyjiv University Institutional repository. Introductiory section of the thesis presents some definition of the term institutional repository and initiatives that support open acces. That is followed by a brief historical overview of the development of open acces in Croatia and Ukraine. The third part of the thesis presents an individual analysis of the above mentioned institutional repositories according to selected critertia: site design and usability, copyright protection and stored items, followed by a comparison of the obtained results.
