The aim of this study was to contribute to the studies of predictors of counterproductive work behavior in the domain of explicit and implicit personality analyzing the role of implicit aggressiveness and self-control in explaining counterproductive work behavior. The study was conducted on convenience sample of 339 workers who varied in age, gender, education and employee tenure. Participants have filled in a set of questionnaires which consisted of Conditional Reasoning Test for Aggression (CRT-A), Interpersonal and Organizational Deviance Scale, Self-Control Scale, Big Five Inventory-10 (BFI-10) and General Data Questionnaire. Regression analysis with counterproductive work behavior as criterion confirmed that implicit aggressiveness and self-control predict different parts of counterproductive work behavior, controlling at the same time the contribution of sociodemographic variables and personality traits of the FiveFactor Model. Results did not confirm that these two predictors are in interaction in predicting counterproductive work behavior.
