Abstract
The conditions of usage encompass the requirements of social media utilization, ways of gathering and processing of personal information, in the way such that everything conjointly influences the privacy of social media users, specifically referring to Facebook and Instagram. The premise, through which this assignment aims to familiarize us with the privacy problem and requirements of conditions, based on experience, suggests that rarely anyone reads the terms and conditions prior to the creation of the account. This research paper explains various concepts and terms such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), the former law of data protection in Croatia, agency for protection of personal information which protects the citizens of Croatia and the privacy shield which deciphers the EU and US relations correlated to privacy. In the contents of the research paper, an investigation was conducted amongst students through which their awareness of topic was scrutinized.
