Abstract

The progress of science is conditioned by scientific honesty. However, it seems that questionable scientific procedures are becoming more frequent. The purity of scientific procedures is a matter for all members of the academic community. Students, when writing graduate thesis, not only demonstrate acquired knowledge, but also demonstrate their own ethics. The level of student ethics when writing the graduate thesis depends on his or her own attitudes, but also about their knowledge of ethically correct procedures. Although insufficiently educated during their academic education, this research concludes that University of Zagreb students have high standards of academic integrity and knowledge of the rules of academic communication.
