Abstract

Many have seen bull leaping as an Aegean bronze age phenomenon. This sport has been a subject of discussions since the dawn of its research. Many suggestions and interpretations have been put forth regarding its meaning, execution, and other aspects. None of them are firmly accepted, but the pour-in of new ideas has become slow. This paper critically discusses existing research and interpretations, and presents new interpretations regarding bull leaping.
