Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore the frequency of the use of information and communication technology in German language teaching and the level of education of future German language teachers for the use of ICT in teaching. For this purpose, a research divided in two parts was conducted. The aim of the first research was to investigate the quality of German language teaching programs in Croatia with regard to the preparedness of students for teaching using ICT in today's digital environment. The second research examined and explored the opinions and perceptions of pupils and teachers of German language on the use of technology in German language teaching (the quantity of use of ICT in German language teaching, the use of technology for learning purposes etc.). The results of the research are presented in the paper. After the analysis of each research, the results were discussed and compared with the results of related researches from Croatia and Europe.
