Abstract

At recent time, a growing interest in information electronic sources can be evidenced in higher education and scientific institutions in the Republic of Croatia. Scientists, faculties, graduate and postgraduate students intensively use domestic and international databases of journals, books, doctoral dissertations, master degrees, graduation thesis, legal acts, statistical reports, etc. Several domestic and international databases are available to faculty staff, students, and external users of Library and Documentation Centre at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Zagreb. In the paper we present some results of the research on domestic and international database usage, referring primarily to those devoted to social sciences. Research results presented can be of a great help in determining the needs and benefits of making demanded content accessible to certain classes of bibliographic database users.
