Abstract

The objective of this research was to establish the level of decency in television interviews. In order to find the answer, a team of twenty students of phonetics had to evaluate five speakers from two national televisions in twelve different dimensions including verbal and non-verbal components. Television speakers were chosen from the informational program while decancy was estimated on the scale from 1 to 5 considering acceptable 4.0. and beyond. It has been established that decency in television interviews is not at the expected level considering the seriosity of informational television genre.
