Abstract

This paper is based on independent digitisation of analogue audio material. It describes the equipment and methods that are necessary for the process of digitising and editing of obtained records which are later stored in the preferred digital formats. Comparative analysis of the digital formats is also conducted in order to determine the appropriate format for storage according to the needs. Methods for analogue recording, sound storing, approaches to maintaining records and metadata editing are also given.
