Abstract
From the very begginings of civilization and development of the society, there was a need for recording of relevant informations and their conservation in order to make them available for usage of future generations. Through years of improvement of equipment and materials, human intelligence and desire to discover the undiscovered also increased. That resulted with formation of various records such as maps, documents, books which had to be preserved in a proper way and in convenient location. All of the above leads us to the appearance of archival science and therefor archival institutions whose main task is to keep records, of great and lasting importance for society, safe.
