Abstract

The basis for the functioning of the human body is the rhythm and it is a link between music and speech as disciplines that are being used in everyday life and for the needs of rehabilitation of people with disabilities. This paper focuses on the importance of nursery rhymes as a starting point for functional music pedagogy and verbotonal method, especially musical stimulation. By using rhythm and intonation, the accent, rhythm of pronunciation and speech progression are being corrected. It is very important to adjust the condition, mood and possibilities of the child and try to use all of its potential. I have presented a comparison of two original Croatian methods and examples of performing sessions with hearing impaired and healthy children.
