Abstract

This paper explores the concepts of group, group cohesion and leadership, through the example of beach volleyball in Croatia. Author attempts to explain the relationship between group members and group dynamics, i.e. explain the impact of a relationship between teammates, inside and outside the court, on a team performance. The extent to which cohesion determines a behavior of the group, i.e. the extent to which „chemistry“ within a beach volleyball team determines it's performance is being tested. Besides cohesion, a concept and a role of leadership is being reviewed.
