Abstract
By applying information technologies, managing business processes of Croatian Radiotelevision became easier and more efficient. Authorized users have access to the centralized database which stores all information made by the organization. Integration of the new information system resulted in more efficient data search considering the information is a central point of television production. Subject and purpose of this thesis, used data sources, structure, content and hypothesis of the thesis are given in introductory part. The central part of the thesis focuses on defining basic characteristics of information and audio-visual records and represents the research that detects sets of information used to describe audio-visual records (content). The final part of the thesis shows the results of the research.
