Abstract

Graduation thesis discusses the development of reading skills from the earliest age. The purpose of the thesis is to contribute to the theory of the development of literacy skills with the help of animals. The paper analyzes the external and internal impacts of development and the difficulties that may occur during that process. This paper gives an overview of the role of school libraries in promoting literacy skills by providing examples of specific activities and programs that can be implemented in order to overcome the difficulties. In this context, the thesis gives a review of the dog reading workshop as one of the ways of the development of literacy skills and gives an insight into the evaluation of the implemented program.
