Abstract
This paper is focused on the phenomena of YouTube as a job for beauty vloggers, young woman that turned their hobbies into a career. This hypothesis is explained by the examples of various professional knowledge that the vloggers possess, and the holding of conferences intended for vloggers. In this paper is explained how someone can earn money on YouTube, and what vlogs and vlogging are. The paper provides insight in video formats that are characteristic for beauty vloggers. That vlogs capture all the life stages of a vlogger and provide authenticity, so they are therefore attracting followers. The identity of beauty vloggers is an unstable category under the influence of market changes and potential co-operation with various brands. A career as a beauty vlogger in Croatia has not come to life yet as it has in the global context.
