Abstract
The subject of this paper is Legislaive libraries in Croatia, Bulgaria and Macedonia. The work consists of two parts. The first concerns the parliamentary libraries in general, i.e. what are the specifics, the users, the collections, the services they offer, and what the future of parliamentary libraries is. The second part refers to parliamentary libraries in Croatia, Bulgaria and Macedonia, to the historic period in which the countries have gained their independence, which directly influenced the organization and development of parliamentary libraries. Data were obtained using research and interviewing staff working in libraries.
