Abstract

The issue of abortion is a vital social issue that has its past, present and future. Whether we are talking in terms of Western or Eastern culture, the ancient or modern, urban or rural community it is a fact that abortion as a theme keeps offering us a wide field of confrontation that is not being brought to a standstill. In this paper, the representation of the dialogue concerning the right to health and reproductive, health and disease identities is being presented through a wholesome analysis of abortion discourse, covering areas of medicine and religion through cultural representations to philosophical and ethical debates, all in purpose of maintaining constant criticism and re-examination of our society.
