Abstract
The practice of using crowdsourcing for different projects is becoming more and more common in museums, libraries and archives. This thesis explores its history, progress, different types, and models, as well as motivations of the participants in such projects. In addition, the thesis gives an overview of successful projects from a multitude of public institutions around the world, as well as the project Digitisation of archival materials in the Archive of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the development of digital humanities (DAFF), presenting analysis and main features of each project.
