Abstract

The master thesis deals with the issues concerning the preservation of audio materials. All the aspects of the audio materials, from its definition to its technical characteristics and archiving, are presented. The aim of this thesis is to offer information about the audio material and the possibilities of its archiving, but also to point out its cultural significance with a special reference to the situation regarding the archiving of the audio material in the Republic of Croatia.
