Abstract
The film is art, politics, industry, communications, industry and the media. Film is an inheritance. As such, we need to keep it safe, stored and protected. The film is a reflection of cultural identity. It belongs to audiovisual material, and each type of material is kept in a certain way. It has its own special optimal conditions. Sometimes, they are hard to keep to it because they require large financial resources. The protection of audiovisual material is the first part of the written work. In the second part, I am referring to the director Franjo Ledić, who is important because he has built the first film studio in this part of Europe. With his playful spirit and mysterious nature he went to the world where he is trying in the film world. In Zagreb he returns in 1925. full of experience and builds the first film studio at the Knežija. The yard of the film studio is an adequate and relevant place for the Film Museum, because it is historically and culturally linked to film art. The last part of the paper deals with museum planning of the mentioned Film Museum. This museum would be an ideal institution helping Croatian film archive. The Film Museum is a place for presenting, exploring, and promoting our movie heritage.
