Abstract

The world would not move forward if it would not evolve, therefore with its development, many innovations and technologies that have not been believed to become part of everyday human life in the past decades are shown. Algorithms are cited as the only drivers of change in the field of information technology. They are omnipresent and humanity does not even notice them. Computers and smart phones are an unavoidable part of nowaday and they control, sort, classify people and decide about their current and future steps. The issue solved by algorithms is the very idea that the principle of their work, self-management and decision-making is not known. This paper deals with algorithms and algorithmic culture, their existence in the social environment, and shows the connection with algorithms and information sciences and some of the paradigms. As part of the paper, the work and development of algorithms and algorithmic cultures will be presented, which become a commonly accepted concept and change the traditional way of understanding the culture in the computed one. What the algorithmic culture includes are human thoughts, behaviors, organizations, and large-scale computing, and the massive inflow of data and information, especially on social media and content without which someone can no longer exist today.
