Abstract

The goal of this thesis is to present the project of 3D digitisation of selected items from the collection of photographic equipment from the Croatian state archives. After a description of 3D digitisation and its uses in various sciences, the different methods of 3D digitisation are presented, with an emphasis on photogrammetry and available software that uses it, including the software used for the purpose of the project. In order to illustrate the challenges that photogrammetry may present, a description of two international projects is given. The second part of the thesis focuses on the project of 3D digitisation of the collection of photographic equipment from the Croatian state archives, with chapters dedicated to each digitised object and its challenges. In the last section of the thesis, the platform Sketchfab is presented, where the 3D models are freely available for viewing.
