Abstract
The aim of this research is to make a complete analysis of the first version of the new Anagram Test. Test contains 58 anagrams in the range of 4-8 letters. The test was administered to 224 participants - senior high-school students and students of different professions. Duration was 30 minutes. Results of the test are distributed normally. The average difficulty index (p=.605, q=.395) shows that the test is somewhat easier than expected. The Cronbach alpha index points to high test reliability (α=.903). Test sensitivity is also high, according to Ferguson’s index (δ=.985). The principal component analysis resulted in more factors, but from the sizes of their eigenvalues it can be concluded that there is only one general factor, which describes 16% of the variance. Criterion validity gave positive correlation with result on Problem test that measures the g-factor. It is recommended to replicate this results on representative sample.
