Abstract

The neuroplasticity phenomenon is still relatively poorly researched, especially when it comes to its ability of neural reorganization. Functional reorganization includes changes in the cortical representation of a particular function or sense, which may arise due to injuries, natural process of development, training and learning. This ability of the brain is of great importance for the rehabilitation of patients with functional disorders and injuries. For example, remaining senses of the spacioception system are also included in the rehabilitation of patients with hearing impairments, because in hearing rehabilitation and correction it is not only the auditory pathway that is exclusively important. Considering that the message transmission route is far more important than the message type being transferred, besides the patient can listen not only by the cochlear way but also by vestibulocochlear and somatosensoric pathways. The verbotonal method in rehabilitation of patients with hearing impairments by multimodal and panmodal sensations is thus one way of stimulating neural structure and neuroplasticity mechanisms, which underlie auditive transfer
