Abstract
The results of analysis of women’s names in 23 Greek inscriptions from Central Dalmatia (fourth to first centuries BC) show that out of the 29 possible women’s names, all are Greek, and that they cannot be interpreted as non-Greek with any certainty. A major portion consists of hapax legomena (Γλυκύρα, Γοργιλώ, Δηλιώ, ἙταριϚ/ἝταριϚ, Θε[μι]στόλα, Θεutakè, Κλευνίκη) and local names (Ματερίσκα, Φαντώ), while there are also Doric names.
