Abstract
The relationship of figural and verbal creativity with two different fields of study - arhitecture and Croatian language and literature - was examined. The quasi-experimental design 2x2 with two independent groups was used, where two kinds of creativity task, drawing and writing as well as two different fields of study (independent variables) were manipulated, while creativity and difficulties while working on each task were assessed (dependent variables). 62 students devided according to their field of study into two independent groups were tested. Both of the groups performed figural and verbal creativity task and self-assessed their difficulties while working on them. Creativity of the products was assessed by 4 judges, trough consensual assessment technique. Opposing the expectations, statistically significant interaction between type of the task and field of study was not found. The interraction between type of self-assessment and field of study has been determined, in the meaning that students' self-assessments of difficulties were lower for working on task correspondent to their field of study.
