Abstract
Research of consciousness is currently a very active field within the philosophy of mind. This paper explores the consciousness continuity problem and the intuitions we possess with regards to continuity. Detailing a series of experiments we probe the intuitions on existence of consciousness continuity. A more extensive account of experiments by Benjamin Libet and its critiques is given. Further to Libet's experiments a model by Daniel Dennett which states a different view on consciousness continuity is laid out.
