Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the construct validity of the Croatian integrity test in real selection situation. According to the previous research results integrity construct encompasses three personality dimensions: conscientiousness, emotional stability and agreeableness, and shows no correlation with measures of cognitive ability. Accordingly, we have established expectations about the relationship between Croatian integrity test and personality measures and cognitive ability measures, and tested them on 198 job applicants. As expected, Croatian integrity test measure three NEO dimensions: conscientiousness, emotional stability and agreeableness , that is anxiety and self-control, and the corresponding first-order factors measured by 16 Personality Factor Questionnaire. Unexpected findings are low but significant correlations with dimensions of extraversion and openness to experience. As anticipated, a non-significant relationship with measures of cognitive ability has been documented.
