The study involved 222 patients who're dealing with metal and classical music. Their task was to solve a questionnaire with sociodemographic characteristics, and then personality questionnaire IPIP 50. The results suggest that people differ statistically significantlyon the dimension of comfort, that persons engaged in classical music have proved more comfortable than persons engaged in metal music, while the dimensions of extraversion, emotional stability, conscientiousness and intellect do not differ statistically. With regard to the research of differences between people of different musical directions in the frequency of alcohol consumption, we obtained no statistically significant difference in the frequency of alcohol consumption between persons dealing with classical and metal music.
