Abstract

In the doctoral thesis the main subject is the corpus of religious sculpture from the Roman Dalmatia. The main goal is to provide a new interpretation of some aspects of religious sculpture from the point of view of different theoretical concepts that emerged from the postcolonial deconstruction of the concept of Romanization, and through the vertical integration through cognitive theory. The basic aspect of the Roman religion that is being discussed in the dissertation is the transformation of the representation of deities in the sculpture of Roman Dalmatia that is followed as well with the transformation of the religious concept.
