Abstract
It can be summed up that in the case of Marko Marciuš's conceptual collection of stories Pročitaj me the work itself
can be described as a very original and very radical one in the complex of Croatian literature, concerning his multiple
and rich postmodern implications. It can be singled out among other works of Croatian postmodernist prose by it's
explicit and nearly obsessive highlighting and problematizing of the topics such as hierarhical relations between fiction and reality, and instances of author, narrator, fictional character, and reader. As such, Marciuš's prose is built on foundations of postmodern literary theory, and even it's plot is submitted to theoretical experiments and implications. This work is exceptionally complex in it's constant multiplications, clashes and blurring of borders between different ontological levels, and, because of extraordinary richness of it's theoretical implications, it surely deserves to be studied further.
