Abstract
Transformations of autobiographical memory of childhood in socialism is the subject matter of
this paper. The complexity of the phenomenon of human memory is the main concer that this
paper is trying to show through interpretation of relevent literature. The Maja Bošković-Stulli's
term pričanje o životu (talking about life) is the one that is of the main relevance for this paper.
The critical review of used methodology, of the interviews and of research filed and research's position are the most imortant parts of this work. Stories, that informants included in this research gave through the interviews, were exposed to analysis so we could understand in which
way do memories transform into stories about life and what is the sole reason that memories arise. Human memory is the phenomenon that is never ending in research sense and it's very depended on time frame, person that is talking, person that is talked to, context, situation, location and many other things. This pape ris a modest contribution to the complexity of memory phenomenon research.
