Abstract
The subject of this thesis is research of library space issues, how the library space should look like in theory and how it actually looks like, based on library examples in Croatia. The thesis contains a brief overview of libraries and library space through history, the theoretical part, which covers guidelines and instructions on what every library space should look like, and finally, the research part, which contains interviews with three library directors on library space issues. Emphasis is on the experiences of library staff with those issues and how they're managed by the staff.
