Abstract

The thesis presents the process of digitization of printed materials in the Croatian State Archives (CSA), which is in place since 1995. The digitization is done for the purposes of CSA and user’s needs. In case ofCSA, desktop scanners are used and can be used by any employee of the archive, while for users’ needs, the archive is using industrial scanners in their FOTOLAB, which is supervised by the employees specialized in their use.
