Abstract

The digital textbook has been widely recognized as a useful studying tool, especially in the field of second language acquistion. Numerous digital textbooks have recently emerged on the Croatian market. This thesis will deal with the evaluation of two digital english textbooks published by Profil d.o.o. and Školska Knjiga d.d. However, before evaluating the digital textbooks a firm theoretical framework will be presented. The multimedia and interactive capabilities of digital textbooks will be explored, as well as the learning preferences of digital natives. The theoretical framework will form the basis for the evaluation of the digital textbooks.
