Abstract
The Division for History of Croatian Music operates within the Department of Music and Musicology of the Croatian Academy of Science and Arts. They collect various music sources: books, music editions, manuscripts, journals and records. They also keep records of music manuscripts and prints which are permanently stored by private owners – mainly various church collections. There is a particular procedure for their arrangement which has been changing slightly during the years of practice. Music manuscripts and prints can also be stored at the Academy's Archive or in the Division's premises – the legacy of the famous pianist Jurica Murai is stored at the Division's premises as well. His legacy consists of music manuscripts and prints and many different materials which are of great importance for research of his concert activities, editorial work, as well as research of the Croatian musical heritage in general. This thesis shows the procedures used in arrangement of music manuscripts and prints which have been permanently stored by private owners or at the Academy's Archive and the Division's premises. The procedure is shown in detail on the example of arranging Murai's legacy
