Abstract

This paper attempts to define and describe the main features of the creative industries and cultural export products of Japan, South Korea and China, as well as their manifestation in Croatia. The work was written from the perspective that cultural and creative industries can be seen as similar or even identical terms which indicate the contemporary cultural production. This work represents the idea that the cultural events and activities are considered as export products of Japanese, Korean and Chinese culture abroad. The aim of the research is to provide a unified overview of the events in this region, with the aim of showing the existence of interest for Asian content. It also seeks to answer the question of whether the number of events related to Asian countries has increased over time, and whether there is a need for a place that will consolidate all Asian facilities, promote the cultural heritage and act as a tool that facilitates the cultural transfer between the Croatia, Japan, China and Korea.
