Abstract

The article contains an analysis of the numismatic materials discovered during archaeological research at the Šepkovčica site conducted from 2006 to 2008. A total of 331 coins were found, of which one was medieval, while the remaining 330 date to the Roman period. 16 coins were found in graves, while the remaining were settlement finds. Th e Roman imperial coins date to the period from the first to fourth centuries, while the medieval coin dates to the fifteenth century. Th e most common are fourth-century coins, from its first half, during the reign of the Constantinian dynasty, and its second half, dominated by the Valentinian dynasty.
