Abstract
The objective of this paper was to examine whether the advertisements in men's and women's magazines reproduce gender stereotypes. Content analysis of the information collected on various aspects of advertising in men's and women's commercials in order to determine in what ways they differ and what magazines are telling indirectly, that is through advertisements, and whether the message is a stereotype that is tied to women and men. On the other side it was moving from the stereotypes that politics and science are men’s interests, gossip and home interests of women, therefore advertisements in magazines of these topics are compared to see if they are alike those of in women or men's magazines, and if by the method of marketing they are aiming to the female or male readership.
