Abstract

The unpublished poem is written in French, which makes it internationally relevant, and it opts for a "Slavic" (Croatian and Montenegrin) perspective of the First World War. It covers the general subject in the form of a personal testimony, which contributes to the general tendencies of modern European and Croatian history of coming as close as possible to accurately reconstructing the past with the help of various historical documents. Also, it has never been published before, which acts as fresh incentive for literary historians to critically analyze the manuscript and work toward its publishing.
